467 Gilman Glacous Gull D 1931 James & St. Michael, Alaska Quite common on marshes - sarely seen in flocks of more than four. Often inquisitive + fly over to investigate boat. July 12, Sevoonga, St. Lawrence Is., Bering Sea, Alaska Not very common the occasionally one sees the large pure white gull flying singly or in small groups along the beach line. Very cautious swary, generally remaining well out of range. July 18 Nome Alaska. Common in the harbor - along with P. Kittiwakes, + a Jaeger or two, they hang a stern to get the garbage. Strangely I saw none when I came into Nome first, on June 6. Seen along coast when stops were made at Teeler, & Kotzebue. Point Hope, Arctic Ocean, Alaska Aug 2. During my reconnaissance of
