336 Gilmore Black Throated Soon 1931 June 8, St. Michael, Alaska One taken & one other seen at Whale Island July 12. Severnaga, St. Lawrence Is., Bering Sea, Alaska. One seen near Camp Collier on June 28; grey large head very distinct. Point Hope, Arctic Ocean, Alaska Aug & Jan several about lagoons generally singles. Aug 24 Seen off & on not very numerous. Oct. 7 Akutan Pass, W. Aleutian Is. I am fairly certain that I saw two today while crossing the pass. The dark head was the identifying mark one appeared to have a white ring around its neck. Both were alone; the first was seen at the mouth of Walakuska Bay headed west & the other was seen in the middle of the pass, headed South. Both were flying about 150 yds. in the air.
