Gilmore LONG BILLED DOWITCHER @
1931 and when flying about over their
feeding grounds, the shallow ponds &
tiny lagoons, they utter a rapid fire
"pseet pseet". The white patch on
the middle of the lower back is
very conspicuous. After being flushed
a flock will nervously fly up &
down a pond or around a marshy
area in an erratic zigzag course,
twittering constantly in this shrill
pseet notes before alighting again
to feed.
