331 Gibbons Yellow Billed Loon O Gavia adamsii 1931 June 20, St. Lawrence Is., Bering Sea, Alaska On - positiv - yellow bill - rock snugs. Seen from ship on south side of islands. July 12, Sevoonga, St. Lawrence Is., Bering Sea, Alaska Several pair seen near Camp Collin on June 28. Yellow bill not seen for certainty On July 5th six or seven were seen in Dirktook Bay and Lagoon - They flew high, uttering their weird laughing cry, and the general direction was from the ocean inland or vice versa: I saw one in the water within a yard of shore in the lagoon but could not approach within gunshot range. Probably they rest on the lakes & lagoons. They are quite wary. Point Hope, Arctic Ocean, Alaska. Aug 2. at the reindeer camp, 10 miles East, a native brought me a large dark egg that had been found by the reindeer herders. The bird, as he said was, a large loon with a black head & light bill - probably a Yellow Billed Loon. On my
