391 Salmon GREEN WINGED TEAL (3) 1931 thin roosting or resting places on bits of sand and gravel at the edge of the water. They easily stacked around the bends in the stream. They later become very wary and their sense of hearing becomes highly attuned to any unusual sound for they rise in quick rapid flight at the sound of an incautious footstep when one is still out of sight.
