5 la. 75-9c Almas Thrush A breeding & was secured July 17. and several others were seen. Unlike the Hermit Thrush they get out in the open Tree tops and sing. 763 a Northern Varied Thrush. A nest containing 4 newly hatched young were found July 16. The nest was in the drooping boughs of a fir tree about 7 feet up. Old thrush nests were abundant in the woods but the thrushes had evidently raised their young and scattered.
