Same places 2-10-29 From inflated stalk enclosing annual mass over pod attached by a length mimic membrane on one side several threads. Seds many, pendant, oblong ovalate, depressed on one side & rounded at base with long tuft of silky hairs. Very like mil Dewed. 5-14-29 Pilea nummulariaefolia, Wild. fo 165 Valley Way FL. Seems to be only but so small parts not distinguished except the much divided stigma. 5-14-29 Sporobolus Bickertonianus, Hetch Hetchy. Clear Valley Way Young fr. Quite like all small ways but note that if spikelets have 3 scales the palea is green very scale-like & not thin & hyaline nor "2-nerved." Otherwise this must be con. sidered as having 4 scales & no palea. Long long erect the abscinate tip with edges involute & whole blade with edges curving forward so as to look almost tubular. Ripe very short, uter sheet edge minutely ciliate. Spikelets at this stage only 2mm (inch) long w/ minute fringe at top. Panicule about 8in. 5-14-29 Chaetoclava middle Rd just west & east of "mat-gears" Valley Way FL by Young fr. FL scales are finely transversely wrinkled &. Racemes 3 in. Beetles not more than 3 lines long
