10-2 obscure notches toward apex. 2 lobes strong not pleasant odor when crushed. V imperfed an odor almost like alumina to brain box. 2s [2x] dotted above more thickly below with what may be scent glands. 5-4-29 Sapota aceras, Mill p 285 Agri Stat in Horace pen. Young lobes stand upright on ends of lungs, the face folded tightly together along midrib, petioles & back lvs very pubescent X " 5-4-29 Malpighia puniceifolia" L. labeled Agri Stat 2s to 3s ft. near east fence in Horace pen. p 199. Very leafy shrub with many axils from base. New lobes appearing from opposite axils. 2 lvs per bright green stem x 1/4-1 in, often to 0 nodes, entire of these or slightly notched at apex of these or acute at base, almost sessile of buds hairy, but hairs early deciduous no signs of "stinging hairs" 5-4-29 "Risolgia trifoliata". Noth labeled. p 226 Agri Stat 2s to 3s ft. New spurs from stump of cut tree lvs now all fully eaten, glabrous or thickly hairy. Petioles seem to have stipule each at base & short petiolule. 5-4-29 "Erythrina Coralloidea" is label on the tree at Agri Stat 2s east of Prices
