"4-11-29 Maurandya Barclayana, Lindl. p.347 Fl. Southlands. Calyx oblong acuminate lanceolate ½ in long densely glandular pubescent. Corolla ½ in, bright purple shading lighter & to almost white in throat— a deeper color than M. scandens. Poro is remembered to be. Sparsely gland ular pubescent outside. Filaments " [illegible] caps just above bases vaginate at top. Anthers white. Ovary with a few glandular hairs. Lf 2½ x 1¾ ciliate cordate, much like M. scandens but perhaps more narrowly cordate. Foliol corolla not pubescent." 5-9-29 Fl. Southlands contrasted with M. scandens same place, same date. (See 5-9-29) 3 30-29 ?? Enigma axillaris, Willd p.61 "no for it" Small tree thought to be this or something in side path beyond Wreck Houses where it reaches shore. Note also Creason Valley way. a large one off no side of new state and smaller one off as side of same table for the latter studied earlier. March 1929 Ficus famulus L. p.103 Fr purple 4-2 in at Welwyn. Fr at tip & scales buds less densely covered with long from silky hairs. X 4-11-29 Hedera Helix, L. p.271, B&G CP 539 To fls pr. Southlands a form deeply cut into 3 palmate div, the lateral lobes again (less) deeply cut & veins white 2 in x 2 in. Other vines Southlands & elsewhere with more usual shaped frs none collected over 2¼ in
