Outer scales about 3mm long with awn as long or 1/2 times as long but fl scale which is 1/2 mm shorter than has delicate awn 1/2 mm inserted below apex which suggests P. monspeliensis Desf. Branches of raceme at least toward extremities finely hispid hairy. Outer scales hairy at least on keel & edges. 3t, 2ft decumbent at base, rooting at nodes. Infl. 1 1/2 in across while undeveloped.
