Beighside at top of Berry Hill Rd. 1/2s over 5in x3 in acute, rounded or truncate at base or slightly subcordate. Veins 8-10 or more pairs not very distinct vs becoming much less so at apex, anastomizing around edge. Petioles on lvs from Montrose 1½ in on lvs from Beighside 3¼ in 4-3-29 Erythrina Fls. terminal fr. Montrose west entrance overhanging wall into Berry Rd. Tree armed. Petioles v. mid fibrous - armed. two quite glabrous, Petioles puberulent. Clamids [?] at base of lateral lfts evident to eye. Lateral lfts 2 x1½ in less, tipque being longer on lower side, terminal lft. 3 x 2½ in or larger sometimes broad- er than long very abruptly acum- minate, apex blunt. Fl thick scarlet dense in raceme but sometimes few. Calyx brownish, but not ciliate puberulent ⅓ in deep, truncate v splitting but with sometimes 3 or 4 pars. stictating above. Ducts severely discernible yellow. Standard 2¾ in long, saddle backed x ½ or ⅔ in wide folded down middle. Wings specular 1½ in long, bell almost as long as ¾-⅞ in x ¼ in broad folded down middle twisted at apex. O stamens longer than the other five. Very cute style to brownish puberulent like calyx. Style less densely hairy Ovules eight. Pollen viscid (entirely) vs surrounding more or less puberulent. Calyx filaments
