"Cassia splendida" says Mrs. Haven 2-10-29 Agri Station P.O.B. & Cassia. Shrub ft. 14.10 in. pinuate with 16 pairs lfts. Lower lft 1x3/8 in, terminal lft 1/2x 5/8 in., lt ftrol entire, inequi- lateral at base obtuse apex weakly -rib projecting 1/8 in. petiole lft to 1/8 in. Pelvis pubescent. fls pubescent slwly slightly above, Clate v Flo in axillary raceme 9 in longs. Pedicels less than 1/4 in. Calyx of 5 ovrd sepals whitish brownish decidous. Petalos 5 yellow 3in long. Stamens 10 & whle 2 perfectly developed, anthors opening by pores at summit. Ovary stalked, curved pubescent, in to top q style (in fl. from which petals have not yet fallen) Ovaries many. Woodlands on hillsides.
