2-2-29 Selinus moll, L p 231 v BMJCP 461. St Georges Public Garden. F & M in diam. Strange? of white stamens. Fls inserted under lobed yellow disk. 3 rudimentary styles. 2-2-29 "Selinus terebinthifolius," Redd. as per lobl. St. Georges Public Garden. 14 with fewer larger lfts than above. grows free quite diff. effect. 3-5-29 Praxia paniculata, Roxt. see BMJCP 614. House at west end of Causeway (per same as 3-24-27 P.O. Boyd East.) sml 14 long fine paniculate spray. Fls with lobd v only few raceb left. Corolla seems to be funnel form about 5mm long. Stamens 5 with anthers readily sessile near base of corolla. Calyx 2mm. depth & slit is about 1mm deep. Superior to calyx is spherical ovary divided lower half is tubed v seems persistent while upper half (as seed matures) is thin v [partially] circumsessile. Ellvary seems 1-celled (no sign of partition) with 4 orange-seeds shaped seeds attached at base. Style very short, atigma 2 lobd. Corolla in withered condition is very dark colored. Sits on ovary at line between lower v upper half. Capsule not hairy. 1-31-29 "Thunax Weedslandica" Thetel. Palm" as per label. St. Georges Public Garden. Fan lfts with segments cut alt. deep v 1-2 in less deep. Petioles with upeward pointing spines. St. scruffy. Fls among bd. St at root 4½ ft high. L 602 ft diam. Not by this name in Batters BMJCP.
