Monby Fl B.V. # Stamens with anthers united (in bed below the 2 pairs) Stamens and anthers right but in all open to view & the pairs also allowed to firmly to be separated) anthers often while pistil is still short placed then filaments curl pulling disjoined anthers down as style long tubes stamens attached to base of ovary only springing from the pantion pistions turning forward then underneath as they anthers rest against posterior part. thus 2 stamens lie 5th (pantion) position all with stamens in receptacles are 5 flaky yellowish threads about 1/2 mm length by 1 mm wide. (are these glands?) Due to Sibling 3-21-27 Strelitzia angustata, Thunb. p.89. Large Strelitzia from Mrs Wood's garden Seen also at Gore Bay, 10 buds enclosed in one aparted. Fillets turning thick in front like S. regina. 3-17-27 Tetragonia expansa, Murr. N. 2. #spacae from Mrs Kelly's garden p.126. 5 sepals of different anthers stamens left with sepals in groups of 1, 2, 3 & 4 filaments in wilted bud of 1/2 in all, some times 10-11. Styles 6-8. Filios cup younger parts imbricated with crystalline bases flutes which give livery appearance to the eye. p.126 3-16-27 Stethanotus floribunda, A. Braun, p. 297. Bedesby from Kelbert Place but stumps clear of Millwood family. Crown not apparent.
