3-10-27 Sabiana stricta, Xiz Mrs P.D. Page Farm - I saw intensely perfuscent. Thistle each of subtended by flower stalk and 2 white lateral bracts. Perianth 1/2 and a half more ample. Red fine purple mottled in lighter shades 3 stomata, very intense (perfuscent) Clearly Rudaceae. (Each of the 8 were subtended by 2 bracts) 3-11-27 Euphlotia Nivale. Have large Tubular Spongia to 219 Bunny lands End. Of only in bro. Influence 15- [illegible] Hairy reddish white lilac with many of the (stamen with a light red pollen back) and many femoral bracts (?). These all are for the whorles, to "3 together found on the one plant seen. involucres Of 6 subtended by 2 bracts which table encloses a small bulbous member which might have been considered & except that Britton suggests otherwise. Also both Hoke and I examined seem to have rudimentary ovary in center. Determine effect of heat smelt like E. splendens. 12 had faded midrib below. 4-15-27 24 G.P.H.
