(Plant not at Woodhaven -1-25-27) Principal bracts more acute, so tightly overlapping or scarious edgish to seem glandular palms. Need outlended by several much shorter annulate bracts. Receptacle flat and slightly concave scale of fl surrounded by 1 large flsca like pko - fetions. Fls all tubular, from achene pubescent. Petals as in other white, flattened & acuminately easily deciduous. 2 3-2-27 Caealpiniaceae ? En route from Flatts to B.V. Entering from Middle Rd towards Gloum. Shrink? to 6 ft high? v numerous younger plants. Upper part of stem green, redgish, v very leafy. Lvs pennate 5-6 pairs of lfts, lanceolate up to 2 in long x 3/4 inch wide fr the main (largest) at apex. Lfts unequilateral & oblique at base sections lfts midrib being narrower. 2 ft on petioles about 1/2 in long. Ret. apex of pair or sometimes left lower pair a glandlike annulate tooth 1/4 to 3/8 in long. Thorns similar to "gland" or petiole? (from middle). De p 171 prostrata Cassia ? Young stem lvs almost scattered & right white lvs. lfts hang in way that suggests deciduous too.
