7-18-34 not shining and lobes and feels ribbed The st of the 2 species def. distinguishingable by these chars w/o help of infl. J. con - has st. several times tinted (J. eff) - not solf. tinted. J. con has basal tract somewhat inflated for 8-10 mm, this portion of thinner texture than would base of tract of J. eff. 7-18-34 Epilobium heracleum L. Costa II. 79; Bon 104, AVH 156; A 596 etc. FLV unique fr. Villeneuve (cfk moth E. pariflorum). Note the fleshy runners (S&I); hrs shortly decurrent so that the opp. ones make a slant V at the st- (not in E. par-); mucron of sepals 7/4 -1 mm long, glencs but distinctly apiculate (in E. par the triangular tip of sepal is less than 1/2 mm long, hardly distinct from sepal V but not distinctly apiculate; tip of fl. somewhat dark-blue (not in E. par-) 7-18-34 Epilobium pariflorum Schreb.
