7-16-34 rougheued. Seed more nearly elong than in
E. montanum (ie less broadened and which bears
coma). On the back of the seed there is a ridge-line
between the two grooves (in E. mon - the space be-
tween the 2 grooves is flattish-rounded) and
the face of the seed slopes to the coma-bearing tip
as if sliced obliquely (in E. mon the back [sic] is
straight). By "face" I mean the face not rounded.
Effect? These plants growing in
my diff from the simple-stemmed E. montanum,
bet since the smallest besides them were
growing in cracks which could furnish little
nourishment they may be only a form of
E. montanum.
Confused with E. montanum by roadside thorn->Caf
des Narcisses with E. racemum on same roadside;
with E. parviflorum gorge du Chauderon & E. parviflora
on R-M. 107 (F-both of these latter are E. parviflorum)

FL. R'K Café des Narcisses -> Pont de Pierre (on entering woods)
aspect of plant, its roots, peduncles with no grooves,
receptacle glabrous suggest R. acria. But Colyx
is diff reflexed exactly as in R. bulbosus. Robenes
(2 fl's) smooth, bordered, st furnished with appressed
hairs but base of leaf-sheaths with longer stiffer,
spreading hairs which (on the sheaths) lower
most at least are brown.
