This answers question raised on 8-24-34 9-8-34 Chenopodium rubrum L. (See 8-17-34) Fl & fr. Villa- neurve Dump. These spcc. are not the tall (ie ± 12 in.) plants with br"exactly as ill (Cote)" found 8-17-34. These spce. growing on very hard unproductive soil are 3-5" inches with lower ls fallen & upper brs small. st. branched from base, red. Infl mostly def. red. Peranth parts usually 3, achene erect, smooth, shining, edges thick, 3/4 or less mm high. (These small spce. had been seen previously at same spot before flowering) 9-8-84 Anthemis arvensis L.
