8-13-33 Arctium nemorosum Lj SVT 202, BVH 25 F: Lappa nemorosa Korniche Cato III 72.25 FL dra pants field uphill from Café des Narcisses. (same vicinity, perhaps same spot as 7-29-31) Heads fully 4 cm or al v fully 2 cm diam excluding the spreading parts, first bracts a few innermost bracts are red & usually hooked like the others but occasionally almost straight. These innermost bracts certainly seem shorter than the fle, but the general effect is of bracts as long as fle. Heads glabrous (not at all webby); bracts rather rough, toothed on the edges. Petioles (upper at ls only) not hollow. Ls somewhat like ll of A. minus Bernk BVH VII # 228. Ls gray & a little webby beneath, glabrous ex- cept for scattered articulated hairs abov. 8-13-33 Euphrasia Rothorana Hayne SVT 605^ inc in F. officinalis L Cato III 42, BVH 235, BVH 351 F-L Slopes Nth - Café des Narcisses upper path. Much branched brachy from base, how bracts gland- hairy, teeth less sharp pointed. Corolla 10-12 mm along back. The lengthening corolla tube is not very striking but it is true that when corolla is almost open the calyx reaches well about the corolla sinus, later it reaches to corolla sinus & ultimately calyx tips is about 1 mm below corolla sinus, the process stalking perhaps 2 mm diff in length penolle tube il 3 mm to 5mm.
