7-4-33 rooting at base making a mottled effect
as remembered for V. serpyllifolia. above the rooting
portions sto are thick and softly pubescent - v
at top sparingly glandulose. Rooting parts get to
thickly lved, or upper parts less dense than inter-
nodes largest of 16x10 mm but usually much
smaller. Infl. Terminal (much like V. ser- ill G) but in one case lateral infls appearing.
Style 3mm, fr hardly noted. The only reason
for doubting that is V. serpyllifolia L is that the
corolla (7 mm wide) is (at least in bud) a
deep blue suggesting the color of V. Beechburg.
Antlers thicks. Calyx pubescent, corolla with an
occasional hair on outside. Clvary gland- pubescent
[On opening & quite light enough to be V. serpyllifolia L.
