Helleborus (the one commonly cult. helebruts) very fine show of flow in Hotel Montfleuri garden. 2-23-34 "Pussy-willow" and other branches cut topen in house. 2-26-34 White violet, blue violet, primrose, hepatica Sencis vulgaris, Primium immaculatum and a veronica in early flow bed between Glen & Montreux. The season is reported as "late" this year. 3-27 ? Pulmonaria Officinalis. Cots II 595; BVIH 21/38 @ MGP.625. SVK I 542. Fl. brought by the Drage's cols from above Aigle. St about 16 cm high. Flo. first clear pink later clear blue (nothings purple). Corolle 13 mm diam. at widest (Cots says "5 mm"). Lvs quite without spots and without the "Papillon" desc SVH, is ident. questionable. Summer lvs will perhaps decide. Only the possibility in SVK. seems P. vulgaris Meist (note Cots dffs from SVK astrola). Note also SVK II 299 as to P. Officinalis var. immaculata Opiz. Correvox Clampt & Bois tfleuri Plate 5. very like specimen.
