Edge of H.P. shore in front of camp common along wet
slnd. No fls fr, inf all profirous. Prot stock
slender horizontal, bases (at emerging plants) rather
enlarged at base. To 8 in high, at flowery slender

Fl. H.P. Prot with Subularia thence entirely sub-
mersed. 1 1/2 in high with stiff upright capillary
to which seem here & there Culms but small leaf
perhaps from filiform stock. Heads few fld,
compressed 2 1/2 mm long. Scales wth green mid.
sit sides purple from many striated lines. Style
3 cleft. Stamens 3, no sign now of tubercle or
bristles. Pistils about 3/4 mm, or much shorter
filaments.
