Prot stock slender horizontal, bases (at emerging plants) rather enlarged at base. To 8 in high, at flowery slender 8-22-30 Juncus militaris Bigel #275, BV BI 479 H.P. near Camp. Ident by prot stock and sheaths & submerged as plant eaten by cattle (See 9-3-29 500 8-22-30 ? Elevelaria Fl. H.P. Prot with Subularia thence entirely sub- mersed. 1 1/2 in high with stiff upright capillary to which seem here & there Culms but small leaf perhaps from filiform stock. Heads few fld, compressed 2 1/2 mm long. Scales wth green mid. sit sides purple from many striated lines. Style 3 cleft. Stamens 3, no sign now of tubercle or bristles.
