First & 2nd, the rachilla prolonged as pedicel tipped with Scale behind uppermost palea, lemma broadly ciliate above middle but less so (or not at all?) the - awnpointed. lower Palea 3-toothed, ciliate on the 2 beaks. 481 8-16-30 Equisetum fluviatile L #53, BVBI 51 Sp. H.P. right side near outlet. Portola hollow. 8-16-30 Trillium cernuum L #294 BVBI 526 F2. Meadow rt side H.P. towards outlet. Fr red. Charlie Legge at F-l-P pointed this out as "june lily" and said he ate the fr. 8-16-30 Scirpus occidentalis Chase #173, BVBI 332 Fl. Highlands Pond. 8-15-30 Vaccinium pennsylvanicum Lam #639 = V. augustifolium Cat BVBI 901. Fr. Bought in by Allen from behind Highlands Cabie. A few with fr? Heck & without bloom seems exactly the same except he is more yellowish & tinged with red.
