Marsh along P.R. no. 3 St. Crossing. Cfd with Polisia
Polifolia same locus. N.B. as dif. that lvs of A. are all
very veined above (like some kinds of leathery)

narrow, green & strongly revolute, like older ones
but not infrequently shoots bear pinker/red lvs,
much broader (to 3/8 in.) revolute or flat]

— Britton BvB II 291 Young fs. Low shrub along P.R.
no. 3 St. Crossing (see 6-20-29) but since lvs. beneath,
pedicels & calyx are pubescent (hardly tomentose)
possibly P. arbutifolia L. f. var. atropurpurea Robinson.
Calyx lobes somewhat glandulous. Points of teeth
curved inward (on upper side ?) so that only the
rounded backs is visible to eye.
7-19-29? Vaccinium pennsylvanicum Lam. var.
augustifolium Gray G 639. No flow fs. With bot. largest
l. 14 x5 mm. [8-5-29? Young fs. in Force-a-Plain Marsh.
cfd with V. pennsylvanicum] same date & locus.
