6-28-29 Prunus pennsylvanica L. G 498, BvB II 328 Fl (falling) lvs almost full grown. Basaltic Blk, st bank bet P.P bridge & Gillam's Pool. lvs con-duplicate in veneration. Petals not more than 7 mm long. But note: as indec. J P. nigra"lvs doubly crenate-serrate, the stell gland tipped w often 1or 2 red glands on petiole at base of blade".
But calyx lobes entire! Stipules ovate-lanceolate v deeply toothed. Ovary longer than broad.
