fl open 3-30-32 when over half the calyx exposed (even when pressed down for measurement). Petals pale (rosy or lilac). All the flo have prominent "vesicles" dans les dicotomies. All this suggest F. pulverul. ental. (acc to Cate); but contra while a few of the are oblong (2x3-4mm) with edges only slightly drooping most of the lobes have edges so def. curled under as to make almost tubular effect (very unlike a tube narrower than 3mm if spread flat). Petals have edges denticulate but not "emergine". This suggests F. laevis as thought 4-18-30. P. 634 [Kew identifies this as P. pinnatifidum Moirs] 20-20-32 ?? Papaver of Herizfolium Def. Cate 61 E&V adv. fr. Porto-Pi. If indicated for Majorca in K or a Bar ident would be thought certain. Its small food under at top than ? P. pinnatifidum with which eld to and more abruptly narrowed at base but not P. dubium because anthers defyel- low. Capsule very like ill (Cate) throas nearly like as are other species to their lls resp. Filaments filiform, purple. Petals (? stud) pale pinkish with no limby brick color. Lower lvs to 9 cm broad and very def. bi-pinnate, the secondary div. broad vottine. Lower part of flat and spreading basis, upon part with basis closely appressed upward. Tops of sts curled to horizontal position. Rays none, white overlapping but no more so than in the 6-rayed ? P. pinnatifidum.
