3-30-32 largest fl. now 7mm diam. v Carpels begin to show transverse ridges. One 2+mm. diam. v flattened. 3-30-32 Scorpisurus subtilissus L. same sulcata Kn Kn II 109 = S. sulcata L Bar 574, Bm 96 = S. sulcatus L. Cote I 403 Fl young fl. Port-Pi along rid from port to fort. //inligle prodrect. Diff from Scorpisurus J 4-20-30 in two 4x3½ in overall, stipules (13mm long) attached only on lower ⅓ and always much too far apart to overlap. Lo w/2 lateral nerves evident (the not conspicuous), sparsely but not at all silby except ridges. Peduncle of fl. shorter than lo two feet, fl longer than lo. Ped ther 2-(usually)x fl (with same bract as disc 4-20-30) Calyp about 5mm long j which tube 3 mm. Two sinuses rounded. Fl 8-10mm long. Young fl cerving as ill(Cote) with strong tubercles back only. Locest grounded at tips (Bm) the others of face. (But see Scorpisurus J 4-4-32) 3-30-32 Scorpisurus subtilissus L. Kn II 109, Bar 147 Bm 96 = S. subtilissus L Cote I 403. This is idently same as 4-20-30 with ato fl on ground, singled by the overlapping stipules, lo small flexenely arbitrary (the ped) fl not longer than fl. Lo loke dilby to eye but (2x) not greatly dif from aton, no does Calyp show difference. Fl too young to show mature clear but very like fl of Barde
