632 3-30-32 Romulea Fl. Vadiv. fr. Porto-Ric west 8 foot near first house (where gircedogs) Bulb 7mm v with light brown venice. like (3-7-32) Stvolumine (3-9-32), the lv being slenter v narrower than (3-27-32), lv being 7-10 cm long & 1mm largest crosdimension, grooves as in (3-27-32). St. be- longround 15-20mm long and 2 or less mm thick. Scapes 1 or 2 each bearing 1 fl. Scape 5-25mm high. Fl 7-8mm ligb, white with purple veins, the 3 outside divisions tinged yellowish green with definite purple veindown ceter, throat greenish white (certainly not def yellow). Stamens about 1/2 as higb as periantb, only slightly longer than style; filament glabrous. Stigma deeply 2-divided (probably lobed) Perianth divisions hardly acute. Spathe valves 7 mm, the lower many veined. Scerons on margin inward the acute tip, the upper valve thin serions (iz almost) except for a few veins down center, obfuse v when fl open looking broad v purely, as if seen if looks less & fuse & alows alint yellow each small tip. Pod now 6mm long is only slightly acute than spathe. Fr. Scapes recurved but not forming half circles as in 3-27-32. Romulea panicflora J.Britton Kn I 393, BOH 468 = R. Columnae S.V.M.
