Coste II 327 Early fl. Porto-Pirretty fot. (see 2-11-31) As on
2-11-31 can not understand Coste distinction between
"folies de l'involure" and "écailles de la circonfluence".
Floral brs, oblong, obtuse, white-tomentose (except at base
inside) 10 x 5 mm surround a group of several heads.
Each head requires scales surrounding flo.
These scales are oblong-spatulate 2+mm x 1/2 mm
with an acuminate tip 1/2 mm [illegible] lupine,
extcept greenish band on body scale. Tips begin
to look yellowish and to bend inward. Note, scales
glabrous (Coste says folies of involure "velus sur
lados"), but also that 2 flovaulting scales are
"multiscirales" (Bar) covering most of receptacle
the 7 "en corto minero" (Bar) being only around at
very tip of receptacle. Stigmae v tips of corollas
covered. Young stems def. "papilleux".

3-2-32 ?? Albizia lophanta Benth. AMJCP 433 =
Tree cult in yard on and at side of bet Corpo Mari v linea
from junction. Has lob glacia. End of branch (as
collected) extant, somewhat zig-zag, strongly ridged
and rusty-tomentose. Low alt., some seem to
have tiny lance-acuminate stipules but the young
boat endy branch shows no signs of stipules.
