65 (ill. nobelp) A 385; Caste I 179 Fl & adv. fr. Dr. Lord from
Alcudia. A 20 in high. St v low def hairy; at base
longish hairs in add. to the alater part. Calyx(in ft)
tubular, gland-pub. with 10 red ribs. 9 mm long,
? which 3 mm is formed by the seccas teeth (all Bon)
Petals rose-red, hardly longer than calyx, entire
The whitish scale 1.5 mm long v lobed almost to base
(lobes too large for the small petals) Filaments ? the larger
stamens finely but def pub. at base Centless hair
red. Calyx (in fr.) ovvid, not orbicled, contracted at
top. Capsule 9 mm high, reaches almost to top of
Calyx lobes. practically sessile. This ident. seems
very satisfactory, but has not been compared with that B
#643 which New reported as S.? gallica L.

3-26-33 Linaria chalepensis Mill Kn II 377, Bar 341,
Bon, 233, Caste III 26 Fl. From Dr Ld, Alcudia. Exactly as
desc vlll (Caste) except that corolla is so creamy as
to be almost yellow and (excluding spur) is not over
6 mm long (ie shorter than the calyx which is fully
7mm. The very slender spur is 8-11 mm.
