almost sessile near branches. Sts also more or less
rough hairy, not "velutl-lanellate" (Cote). Flo.
bright yellow, 8mm high in tuft at ends of elongatd
infl. Pedicels infl about 3mm and slightly enlarged
at apex (Bon), (inf?) hardly longer, thick. Largest fr.
(a.t.s.) 28mm. [Note #428 D. nigra "pads 1.5-1.8cm long"]
Beaks tapering v squarish with the glines mentioned
by (Bar), about 1cm long, with umpea cell near
its base (Now showing no enlarged ball effects
in middle). Pedicels ascending, but pads
appressed to axis, tho more less twisted & curld.
(Bon) [9-25-34 Specimen of Sinapis arvensis (valves
div 3-nerved) will fr. shoot v more nearly appeared
than usual males. R.RK suspect the 2-11-32 plant
may also have been S. arvensis]

Bridaceae Cult. Fl brought by Mrs King from garden
in Bonaross. Thos v no scales on specimen. Specimen
3 in long consist of 2 spathes with 1f/1studs in the upper.
Spatha 2 in light, top apex curving slightly forward in
boat shape. Filaments form tube; anthers opp. the 3 div.
of style. Style with 3 flattened (petaloid) but blunt divisions
(no longer than stamens) conspicuously frinicate on
upper edge. Breadth divisions horizontal the 3 outer
somewhat larger. Fl 1/2 in (perlipomae) across, mottled
binnial purple v white, the edges more nearly brown,
and beautifully crisped & curled! Not found in M'G's
nor B's hothus but suggestive of Ferraria Richs'
