Galium (note to be considered with 6-25-32)
A. Galium et. by West, June 23, 1932 at De Cona
Valdemaa was named by Kies "G. Poiretianum
Ball which Knobe cites as a synonym" G.
parviflora but it is really distinct" [This
matter of the synonym is obviously a slip of the pen
See Kn II 419]. Now Mrs. Kruken sending the June
23 spec thought it the same as her May 17 '32
spec from Teix (which R.B.K has compared
fresh with her #711 & #712 of June 10'32 Teix and thought
the same) [superficial comparison of dried specimens
May 9 v 711 v 712
justen writing this note 9-18-32 makes them still
seem probably the same]
All this strongly suggests that #711 & 712 may be
G. Poiretianum Ball
but may not apply to #742 which very likely
is not the same.
