with stiff yellowish bristles, the underside white
webby with white salient nerves which curl
in blinder, smooth, very parishing, yellowish
spines ± 1 cm long. Heads 45x30mm (w/o spines)
Invol. bracts united by spider-web, the bracts narrow
lanceolate tapering to smooth yellow spine (5-6
mm long) the outer bracts sfx. curving out when
the rest spreading; none really reflexed.
