Fls not more than 1.5cm across (Cote says V. B - 3 cm), practically sessile. Stamens 5 the 2 longer and wider hairs at base only and anthers oblique (Cote) the others with filaments densely covered with glandular, red hairs and anthers (pub) not oblique. Oldst pod more 1cm high, longer than calyx, becoming glabrous & shining. Note: only desc. available are V. Boer- havi L. Cote II 6220 V. Portae Willk. Ill. CXXIV.
