5-5-32 axilg at or in lfy cymes terminating short branches making more scattered effect than in F. laevis where they are grouped at ends of branches. (3) Corolla exceeds calyx by only 1 mm so that flo look def. smaller and edges not denticulate 5-5-32 Frankenia linarioides L. forma intermedia Kunz II/190 = F. intermedius DC L. Bar 57 = F. intermedius DC. Bon 40, Coate I/65 Fl. Phl. Porto-Pt. Cf with F. pulverulenta & F. laevis. Diff from F. laevis in that (1) plant presents no sprawling unkempt appearance with branches repeatedly branching & longish naked internodes above between the short lfy tips; instead the branches are almost (5-8 cm) simple with lfty globs very regularly & closely together making whole branch lfy & (because lobes larger towards tip) the outline of branch grows nider towards to tip. (2) and since these lfy clusters bear flo (they are really many small branches), this tends to present effect of elongated inflorescence. (3) ats are def. velvety (in F. laevis, glabrous or only pulverulent) & calyx def. denticulate (in F. laevis, glabrous). (4) the deeper green in the calyx of this plant a deeper more bronze effect than F. laevis. (5) corolla brighter red colored than F. lacvis but almost as large, edges like F. laevis denticulate 5-5-32 Frankenia linarioides forma laevis Kunz II/191
