shape quite as C. I - remembered. Heads attracted
attention because bracts frivil. Confuseably pile-
nvelly, this tips [a.x.s] not "reflécis an cornum"
(Costa) = C. Crinitum Bours var catalaunicum Wls.

4-24-32 Medicago
Flo for Estallevillo, common at least in some places.
Pd 5-6mm diam, very flat with 2-3 loose coils, the upper
one very small. Peduncles 2-5 fl [illegible] usually shorter than
lo, not aristate. Might be M. apeculata Willd Bas.
116 except that wings are longer than head. Note can't
find syn for M. apeculata Willd in Bors or Costa.
Butace to Cost. I 326 this might be M. polycarpa
Willd: M. hirsuta Baerds. Spines likely looked
a [illegible]
def longer than distance between them. Plant
glabrous; stipules finely cut. Pd blackish when ripe.
