Bracts (at S almost semi- circles too closely crowded in naked spikes to make corbaceous effect. 11-17-30 Solanum Flos embankment Convint on tram line to Palma. Shrub-like 2-3 ft. Young growth, low, calyx stalks of corolla with stary hairs, not thickly placed. Infl pro termixed at first but in some cases becoming lateral by later growth. Infl. a foiling cluster; flw 6-11, paleish violet, the rotate corolla thin limes. Lvs oval 4 1/2 x 1 3/4 in, acute lps base, entire but somewhat undulate This suggests desc of S. # esculentum Dum Bes 329 but is not egg plant or garden nor like desc. S.
