A 10-28-30 Cyperus F-l. Ferrallso just below 1st mill above Pollenza. See desc C. longius L. B&H 495 Bon 324, Bar 474 or desc C. rotundush L 176 = C. olivarius Targ Bar 474, Bon 324. St 8-20 in high, glauus, armost. L mall from base v longer than culm. Bracts several, of which some greatly over top infl. Inf sometimes slightly compound. Rays short & unequal but all upright (not scattered See Bon C. badius Desf.). Scales thin v bright red purpl (lilac at crimson) on sides, with several nerves in the narrow green stripe down middle. Difficult to decide whether 11 green acute but mill - nerves along to very tip. Stigmas 3. Roots creeping not thick & the dug up for severel inches for no tubercles Not C. longus L which is perhaps one in C. - l. forma badius Bon 2 340 tho' plants has not branches infl. "scarties" Plant may be all B&H and Bon. 10-28-30 Potamogeton No locs fr. Pollenza lives in pool beneath Adiantum Adiantum-nigrum. Shallow water & hot stones. Stipules free. Lvs all submerged, to 3 x ¾ in. lanceo- late, tapered both ends, petioles to 2 in., thin somewhat undulate, about 11 nerved, def-
