branching perhaps 2-3 (or more) ft. St pubescent
in parts (or so more as earlier). Branches at
least striate (if not angular), lsts beginning to
fall but seem to vary greatly the central one
from 17-27 mm. Petioles 3-5 mm. with the short-
tailed stipules twice or less as long. Lts softly
pub. both sides, more conspicuously so beneath.
Peduncled axillary 1-2 in., pedicels (about 5mm) &
calyx outside pubescent. Fls glabrous, projecting
about 5 mm beyond short persistent calyx, its
valves "se roulent sur eux-memes" (see 12-5-30
