Krs (upper) & rattle far less plant acute. 10-26-30 Echium italicum L. Knutt 307, Bar. 323, Bon 223. F2 4-1-3 last flo. Puerto Pollenza. Lvs at v Calyx thickly covered with sharp, tuberculate basal hairs (Des? panicl with persistent calices take on fronds v almost lacy appearance, noticed? ) Basal rattle Krs not shown to be barely pictioled, secondary nervs visible but not prominent. Corolla white, slightly longer than calyx (not 2 x as long Bar. Perhaps flo not well devel. opd.) Stamens white, glabrous v greatly exsert. Perhaps because hairs are very dry & striking v turn white when dry this should be con. ordered was. sageraice L. Knutt 308, this flo are close together v plants like this grow to (See 12-10-30 18-26-30 Carlina corymbra L (see 10-15-30) F2 & sough & fl remaining to slow close. If hairs on above bifurcate, they must be so near base. Puerto Pollenza.
