young plants germinating fr seeds, being 1/2 in
hight with 4 developed frs. Plants which bore
the frs not found. Backed to Palma, using they
in Bon. Fr spiraled with spines much longer than
intervals between, fr not inc. spines 4 mm a less
diam., atifusles dentata almost entire, fr spheri-
cal with 3-5 turns. Note also fr may have been
pubescent but can't be sure; spines very slender
hooded at apex; spines in double rows on the
thickened edge of pod which has tendency to
break off from pod. Seeds yellowish 2 x1+ mm
more nearly elong than kidney shaped,
but varying within species, 3 (feetiformes)
in pod. Plant softly white pubescent. Lfts
(ax.s) tiny 8 mm, the terminal one almost
orbicular, lateral ones narrowed on upperside,
all def. notched & apiculate at apex, with
possibly other obscure teeth near tips.
