head of barb. & part of fl consists of cylindrical
vary 1.5 mm high (suggesting that fruit
to vertical) and a sessile crown-like stigma,
protuding above pericarp, 9 more or less cut
into 50 and more teeth like seg. (Certainly not
def 3 stigmas BvH. but Cotz v Bad- -y-8-5- -ute.
Cotz v Bar say "stigmas 3-5" for the genus. Largest
lvs are 15x3 mm. & protruding fls are 5x2
mm.

Bracts purple spotted inside. Lvs more or less
glossy but perhaps not as highly oves in un-
kknown plant 4-10-30. Basal lvs 3½ x 1¾ and 3x2in.

St: Bin ridged, sparsely pilfy to top. Head solitary
terminal 1½ in high, agrees with all descr &
with dess ill BonvCotz. St. lvs as ill Cotz. 2
lost? newgrowth) lanceolate to 3½ x 1¼m, pet-
ioted (to 2in) entire, acute both ends. Petiole
& part of mid-rib pinkish. Lf dark dull
