Willk, Kut II 579, = C. — Camb Bas 291, (Willk I p 96 Tab 11) FL. R.I Miramar-Deyá. Basal lvs like ill Willk except that a few hair deeper sinuate incistations Toward top. No lvs at all like ill C. taraxacifl. Thwill BK# 596 or Crep II 4+2. Lvs glabrous except for stiffish ciliation on edges & traces d tomentum at base of petiole. Petioles purple-lilac. St 6 in high (because of lvs near base) probably will be higher, naked except for bracts subtending branches of infl., more or less tomentose. Symd 1 cm high not spreading. tomentose. Outer bracts 4 mm high in this differing from ill Willk v desc Bas. Ray flo yellow with 5 def teeth, each forming a minute lobe. Stigmas slightly greenish- yellow. Rhene 1 mm high contracted at cummit but 12. + S allowing no sign of long beaks. Pappus silvery white, very delicate, slightly toothed (pars in several sries) Corolla tube slightly inflated. But see Kut II 579 fndesc. of polymorphous C. taraxacifolia Thwill which this perhaps is.
