found, plant numerous on rd west Fresno cemetery. 12-4-30 Ononis Natrix L. (see 4-18-30) FL Col by Mrs. Heron. FL 7/16 in long & standard 7/16 in wide here only about 3/4 as large as (4-18-30). Peduncles shortly aristate at jst. articulation 12-4-30 Salsola vermiculata L. Kn I 444 Bar 399 Flyj. Col by Mrs Heron "at Bellver Castle". St yellowish white with remains of pubes-cence. Remains st bro short, filiform extending the short (1/2-2 in) branches on which are very short ? fl spikes. These spikes consist of button-or-rosette-like effects of the thick, closely imbricated floral brs-with gls in axils. These floral brs glaucous, pubescent, scale-like, orate, very thick with thin edges. Winged calyx lobes & spiral embryo make ident sure.
