11-22-30 Anthemis maritima L Kett# 473,
Bar 247, Bon 167 Fr. Frequent with Acor velum in
vicinity, esp along shore to Breval. If asill Bon
Conical receptacle w/ scales, fr w/ short crown
make ident. almost certain. Achene cylindrical
(10 cotylas if present may obscure) minutely rough,
ended w/ white spots (20x) w/ crown only
inside. Scales Bracts first prof were scarious
marginated. Low herb slight odor when crushed,
vary from decidedly fleshy to almost not-at-
all fleshy.
11-22-30 Statice
Fr. Cain Castillea. Acto Bracts: Each spikelet out-
extended by 3 bracts, 1st & 2nd 1/5-2mm long, ? oval the
outer slightly pointed, the 2nd rounded, both
green below, brown scarious above. The 3rd
bract (prob this is what Bar calls "superior")
is almost as long as flo.
These scales have narrow green rib/center
(see 10-19-30) sometimes also along the 2nd
bract sometimes about 2 as long. Flo to
