3-14-30 only 2 in leaf is very early bud. But the white clotony (vs) narrowed to sessile base, the similar (He badly narrowed vs) immediately under f heads, the clotony bracts with very acute smooth yellowish points all strongly suggest this identification (See 4-4-30. 3-14-30 Phillyrea angustifolia L. (See 3-14-82) F.L. Bellve. vs (on the tips collected) 3/4 in a less long. 3-14-30 Lotus edulis L. (See 3-4-30) Bellev. Only 6 in high. Wings open to horizontal position leaving bel exposed beneath. Fls 11-13mm long. Very young fs shows crease on back but is not curved. Calyx not always & purple veined as 3-4-30. 3-14-30 Empolobia peploides Kn II [57] = E. P= Baz 417. Bon 378 Butt 467 alt. Bellev. Fls fs. Plants to 2 1/2 in. Ident. exp by the slightly ruffled wings vs fs. Scales have 2 longitudinal rows of 3 spots on back, row of 2 spots on each side & 1 elongated spot mesal side of front. Upper end has small white conical appendage wards greenish brownish with lighter colored (some- times almost white) slender tips (See 8-19-20 See 1/8-31)
