spurs. Tips narrow looked at from below. Sepals as broad as end of lemma very soon more than ½ its length from point of attachment. Main st. 15 in long, twisted, strongly angled. Pedicels look as though might be twisting later but are not now.

2 lateral spikelets not clipped, thinner glumes broader & strongly ciliate, both glumes of middle fertile spikelet still somewhat broader & strongly ciliate, all ending in awns. Lateral spikelets empty.
3-10-30 Lamarchia aurea Moench KnT 319, Box BMGP 131 / 365 = Cynosurus aureus L B22 505: Agrees with desc. except that (at this stage [early]) effect is silvery green not gold.
3-10-30 Cynoglossum creticum Vill KnT 301 = C. picturnum at Dumpeast end of Calle de la Salud. Bulb. Boraginaceae. Stout, softly pubescent. Has large to 1½ in. lance long involucres pedicels, upper ones scale & partly clasping entire. Corolla lobes with scale at base. Racemes with bracts only at very base. Considered
