4-20-30 Style curved with stigma set obliquely. Fls terminal usually in threes the royal pedicels with bract at top v lateral bracts very slightly higher. F2. compares the largest (at this stage) about line long. F2 bears the somewhat upward curving style but this is not (see Box) as long as fruit broad. All green parts inc. fr. silky pub. blue at, borders so on upper side. 4-20-30 Rhamnus alternata L. (see 2-27-30) F2. near top of divide. Slint axillary racemes with 1-3 ripening frs. Bracts from which pedicel can follow cup like as dise 2-27-30. Calyx persistent ventrue at frp as though lobes had broken off as fr. expanded. F2 dark red, slightly obovate 6 x 5 mm.
