Fl v young fr. Dist. 20. side & divide. 3-6 in branching from base, erect or spreading. St delicate angled slightly pubescent. Lfto 2-4 per, often alternat obovate, the longest 8x5mm, slightly reticulated at apex with 3 point, smaller ones 5x3mm v some pupifer ones tending more towards linear, slightly puber- cent leaf on back. Sepals half-sagittate, sharply pointed, sometimes deilate toward base & pubescent enough to look ciliate, 2 or at least 1 pupifer ones with dark spot. Tendril very short in most lvs but in some pupifer ones longer & curled, simple or (in 2 cases) with 2 short branchles. Fls solitary sessile, 12-14mm long. Calyx seems regular, more a less oddish, with 5 lobes coniculate. sharp points green, pubescent & lobos ciliate. Standard a very pale yellow w/ no colored veins but tinged purplish in claw. Wings & keel still paler (almost white). Very young fr. seems puber- cent on edges only, at tips, if any, very short & thick. Standard glabrous. Not like all 3 v. lutes BvN. 4-20-30! Ellis australis L. Bas #22, Box 283 Fl. Cult at what S.K calls "muleteer's house" on north side & divide near top. Lvs just coming out & fls fading. Stamens tops, 4 per. Fatties. At base of filaments a hairy ring (did?) encircling ovary.
